Welcome to the Echinococcus Study

Echincoccocus spp. Adult

We need your help!

Are you a licensed trapper in your area?

If so, our research team is looking for your help! We are surveilling parasites that can cause serious disease in dogs and humans, specifically Echinococcus spp. This tapeworm is one of the many reasons we recommend safe/hygienic handling of all trapped specimens during the trapping season. Our research team can provide more information on proper handling and storage.

This is a statewide parasite surveillance project, so everyone can participate!

Please remember to continue to follow all state trapping regulations and guidelines!

If interested, check out our informational brochure, or find us on Facebook @HerrinLab, or shoot us an email!

We would love to hear from you!
